Hi... you need this for recording or just for playing at home? ...if it is for recording, try putting a bigger bass drum (24 or 26 in you case) with two calf skin (or normal drum heads) in front of your bass drum while yours with just the batter head... remove the resonant is better!
...then if you want it to play at home or with some friends try a sand bag... yes a sand bag inside the bass drum... Ringo did it... you can hear it in Paperback's Writer or Tomorrow Never Knows ...try different positions and good luck
