I have a Pearl Masters Birch 22x18 bass drum. I can not seem to get a nice low punch sound out of it. I have the Evans emad system on both the outside and inside heads(batter and resonance). I wanted to know if I could get the sound that I am looking for with cutting a hole in the head or having to change from the evans emad. I also bought two eq pads but I have not used them yet. Can you give some asisstance..
