| Music Horror Stories : A Collection of Gruesome, True Tales |
![]() ISBN: | Click HERE for the latest price Take the story of the girl who found Bob Dylan handing over a guitar and asking her to play a song. She couldn't play guitar. Or perhaps you might relate to the young hot player who had a chance to jam with his heroes, but imbibed too much LSD and screwed up. Janet Fisher's Music Horror Stories is packed full of stories such as these. They're sometimes funny, sometimes touching but always worth remembering. The book came into being after Janet Fisher wrote an article about first arriving in Hollywood to make a dream come true. It stimulated responses from many others who had their own stories to tell. Ultimately, it made sense to publish a book with all the best stories included. I must be honest. I don't usually sit down after a long day at the office and knock off a book. But tight editing and concise storytelling makes getting through this 55 tale collection a highly pleasurable experience. If you've been around the traps for a while, you are sure to relate to the situations a lot of musicians have found themselves in. If you're just starting out in the game, please read Music Horror Stories and try to remember some of the lessons on offer. You will avoid making some of the mistakes I, and quite a few of my friends, have made in the name of rock 'n roll glory. Take a walk on the wild side. Buy this book.
