: Is Mr. Theremin still alive? I heard his weird sounds in countless 1950's sci fi classics, "The Day the Earth Stood Still", the ole Frankenstien and Wolfman movies etc. etc. No,Mr Theremin died in Moscow at 97 years old (november 1993), but what he did will be always in our memory.
